Sponsor a Child

In addition to the traditional general donation, The FPF (Forgotten People Foundation) is offering SPONSOR A CHILD, a new opportunity to provide ongoing support to the residents of the HADC-the Home for the Disabled and Disadvantaged Children (which also includes several adult residents) To learn more and view photographs and descriptions of each of the residents see below.

Program Information
The Sponsor a Child Program invites individuals and families to make a monthly or onetime contribution to help support the residents directly.  Info on various donation options here.

We are currently offering general sponsorships rather than sponsorships for individual residents, but as the program develops we look to add individual sponsorships as an option.

Realistic expenses to “fully” support a resident are ~$50 per month, but any amount you are able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Funds raised beyond residents sustenance will be used to continue construction of a new orphanage, which is one of the main projects of the Forgotten People Foundation.

This Sponsorship Program was developed by Health Education Students at Western Oregon University as a service learning project to support the residents and the Catholic nuns who serve them at the Home for Abandoned and Disadvantaged Children (HADC). The data gathered was compiled following two humanitarian trips during the past two years in which the students spent their spring break offering support to the nuns and residents.

    Following Progress
After becoming a Sponsor you will receive a letter of welcome to the program which will include details about the FPF and HADC. You can follow the progress at the orphanage online. You will also receive a yearly update on the children and the orphanage. This will include a letter of gratitude for your support and will also note your total contribution for that year. Since the residents are severely disabled, it is not possible for you to receive any personal correspondence from them.
